Privacy Policy

1 · WHO WE ARE

The controller

African Caribbean Matchmaking Agency [The Profit Experts Ltd.], operating at blackdatingv.com, is the data controller, the organisation responsible for your personal information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@blackdatingv.com. Responsibility for data protection within the business rests with senior management.

2 · WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHERE IT COMES FROM

Information you give us

Your name, email address, phone number and date of birth when you register for a Dating Masterclass, book a Dating Discovery Conversation, apply to the Marriage-Minded Singles Club, or purchase any of our programmes. Your application and preference information: what you are looking for in a partner, your relationship goals, and relevant life circumstances you choose to share. Your vetting information where you apply for a vetted membership or matchmaking service: identity document details and the outcome of a Basic DBS criminal-record check (see section 5). Your written statement of intent. Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, text or through our forms. Payment information when you buy processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

Some of this is sensitive and we treat it that way

Matchmaking information can reveal things the law calls special category data. For example your religion or faith, your racial or ethnic origin, or your sexual orientation, where your preferences or profile disclose them. We collect and use this information only with your explicit consent, given on the relevant form, and only because a matchmaking service cannot work without it. You can withdraw that consent at any time (section nine), though the service cannot continue without the information it needs.

Information collected automatically

When you visit blackdatingv.com we and our analytics partners collect technical information: device type, browser, pages viewed, how you found us, and how you interact with the site. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session activity such as scrolling and clicking, to help us find and fix problems with the site. We use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and the TikTok Pixel and Events API, to measure our advertising and to show relevant adverts including recording when you book a call after arriving from an advert. Cookies and similar technologies are covered in section 10.

3 · WHAT WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR, AND OUR LAWFUL BASES

The purposes, plainly

To provide what you signed up for, the Masterclass, the Dating Discovery Conversation, the Marriage-Minded Singles Club, our coaching programmes and matchmaking services and to communicate with you about them (lawful basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before one). To vet applicants for our vetted memberships and services (lawful basis: your explicit consent; see section five). To make introductions between members, the heart of the service as described in section four (lawful basis: performance of the contract, with your explicit consent covering any sensitive details shared). To send you marketing about our services where you have opted in every message includes an unsubscribe link, and stopping is always one click (lawful basis: consent). To measure and improve our website and advertising (lawful basis: consent for non-essential cookies and pixels; legitimate interests for aggregate service improvement). To keep records the law requires, such as financial records (lawful basis: legal obligation). To establish or defend legal claims if ever necessary (lawful basis: legitimate interests).

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We never share your details with advertisers to contact you. And no decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on you is ever made purely by a computer. Every vetting decision and every introduction is made by a human being.

4 · MATCHMAKING INTRODUCTIONS — HOW SHARING WORKS

The rules we introduce by

When we consider you for an introduction, we share selected profile information with the other person. The kind of information needed to decide whether to meet: first name, age range, location area, and relevant background and values information you have provided for that purpose. We never share your surname, contact details, address, workplace, or vetting records with another member. Contact details are exchanged only when both people have said yes to the introduction. Where our premium service gathers post-introduction impressions from both sides, this happens only with the prior consent of both people, and what is shared back is a considered summary, never a raw transcript.

5 · VETTING CHECKS — IDENTITY AND CRIMINAL RECORDS

Membership vetting checks

To keep our membership safe, every applicant to the Marriage-Minded Singles Club and our matchmaking services completes identity verification and a Basic DBS criminal-record check and provides a signed statement of intent. We process this information with your explicit consent, collected on the application form. You may withdraw consent at any time, though membership cannot continue without the checks. Identity is verified from your original documents, and we record the document type, number and the date it was seen. We do not keep copies. Basic DBS checks are processed by the Disclosure and Barring Service through our approved checking partner, UCheck, a registered Responsible Organisation; applicants in Scotland or Northern Ireland use the Disclosure Scotland or Access NI equivalent. A Basic check shows unspent convictions and conditional cautions only, and we never ask about, record, or consider spent convictions. Once a check is complete, we record only the outcome, the date, and the certificate number; any certificate shown to us is deleted once the outcome is recorded. This information is accessible only to senior management and is retained for the duration of your membership plus twelve months.

6 · CALLS, SESSIONS AND RECORDINGS

When we record, and when we don’t

One-to-one coaching sessions and Dating Discovery Conversations are not recorded unless we tell you beforehand and you agree. Where a group clinic or similar session is recorded for members who could not attend, we say so clearly at the start, questions can be asked off-recording, and recordings are deleted on a rolling 90-DAY schedule. Notes made during your programme: session notes, progress records, and matching notes are part of delivering your service and are kept under the retention rules in section 8.

7 · WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

Our service providers

Like almost every modern business, we use trusted providers who process information on our instructions under contract: our customer-relationship and automation platform (GoHighLevel, also known as LeadConnector), our email service (AWeber), our scheduling service (Calendly), our messaging provider for WhatsApp and text (Twilio), our payment processor STRIPE/PAYPAL, our automation connector (Zapier), our website analytics (Microsoft Clarity), our advertising and measurement partners (Meta, and TikTok), our vetting partner UCheck and the Disclosure and Barring Service, and our professional advisers (accountants, solicitors) and, where legally required, regulators or authorities. Each provider receives only what its job requires.

International transfers

Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers are protected by the safeguards UK law recognises, the UK’s adequacy decisions, the International Data Transfer Agreement, or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

8 · HOW LONG WE KEEP THINGS

The retention schedule

Enquiries and Masterclass registrations details that go no further are kept up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted. Marketing lists are kept until you unsubscribe, then suppressed. Client and member records, including programme notes and matching records are kept for the duration of your membership or programme plus twelve months. Vetting outcomes are kept for membership plus twelve months (section 5). Session recordings, where they exist have rolling 90-DAY deletion. Financial and tax records ar kept for six years, as the law requires. Records connected to a legal dispute are kept as long as the matter requires. When a period ends, information is deleted or anonymised.

9 · YOUR RIGHTS

What you can ask of us

You have the right to: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (access); correct anything inaccurate (rectification); ask us to delete information (erasure); restrict or object to certain uses; receive information you gave us in a portable format; withdraw any consent at any time, without affecting what was done before the withdrawal; and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. Though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first. To use any right, email support@blackdatingv.com. We respond within one month. Exercising your rights costs nothing.

10 · COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

The short version

Our site uses essential cookies that make it work, and only with your consent through the cookie banner analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) and advertising cookies and pixels (Meta, and TikTok). You can change your choices at any time through the banner’s settings link, and browsers also let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

11 · CHILDREN, SECURITY, AND CHANGES

Adults only

Our services are strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18, and if we learn we hold any, we delete it.

How we protect information

Information is encrypted in transit, held on access-controlled systems, and sensitive records. Vetting outcomes above all are restricted to senior management. Our providers are chosen with security certifications and contractual commitments appropriate to what they handle.

When this policy changes

We update this policy as the business and the law develop. The date and version at the top always tell you where you stand, and significant changes are flagged to members directly. Questions, in plain English, any time: support@blackdatingv.com.
